Welcome to the MG-30 Controller wiki!

MG-30 Controller

MG-30 Controller is an Android app for controlling NUX MG-30 multi-effect processor through MIDI. With LCD touchscreen display closer to eye level, it should allow additional ways to use MG-30 with more convenience.

The primary goals of MG-30 Controller app are

  • Simple and intuitive to use
  • Features mainly for live use (for tweaking or making presets, the unit interface and QuickTone program provided by NUX are the better choices)
  • Free to use and customize through open source license, GNU GPLv3

System Requirements

  • Android device with Android OS version 7 or above
  • OTG USB cable/hub and OTG support on Android for MIDI over USB
  • NUX MG-30 with firmware version 4.0.3

How to Connect

  1. Download and install MG-30 Controller app from the release section on the Android device.
  2. Connect MG-30 to the Android device with OTG USB cable/hub.
  3. Turn on MG-30.
  4. Launch MG-30 Controller app.
  5. On the device settings page, select MG-30 MIDI device in the dropdown list and tap Connect button. MG-30 MIDI device is selected by default, if MG-30 is detected. If MG-30 does not show up in the dropdown list, check the MIDI connection.
