Clarified the process for changing the sign-in email for Kinde accounts, including steps for inviting a new email, promoting it to Owner, and removing the old email.

Description (required)

Updated the "Change the email you sign in to Kinde with" documentation section to reflect the current self-service capabilities.

Previously, the documentation instructed users to contact support@kinde.com to promote a new team member to Owner or to delete an old Owner account. The updated content outlines the correct self-service flow, empowering users to handle this independently.

Key updates:

  • Removed instructions to contact support for role changes.
  • Added step-by-step guide:
  1. Invite new email.
  2. Promote new email to Owner (using current account).
  3. Log in as the new Owner.
  4. Demote the old Owner to a different role (required before deletion).
  5. Remove the old account.

Walkthrough

Replaces concise instructions with a step-by-step, two-phase procedure for changing the sign-in email: invite the new email and promote it to Owner, sign in with the new Owner account, then demote/remove the old account; also expands business-details and sign-in name guidance and adds frontmatter entries.

Frontmatter updated (tableOfContents maxHeadingLevel: 3 and an added relatedArticles entry). Main content rewritten: single-step sign-in-email guidance replaced with a multi-step flow (invite new email → accept → grant Owner role → sign in as new Owner → remove old account). Expanded "Change the sign in name" and "Change business details" sections with detailed UI navigation and clarifications (including business URL note). Minor header/section reorganization and added warning about Owners not being removable by other Owners.

🐇 I hopped a note to a brand-new name,
Promoted them swift in the owner's game,
I signed in fresh, then waved goodbye,
A tidy swap beneath the sky,
Carrots shared — the change felt tame 🥕

Make heading 3 here ###, remove the number.

Combined 1 and 2 under one heading: e.g., Add a new email address and promote to owner

Format the bullet points as a numbered list, like the rest of the sections.

The actual place to find the setting is:

On the Kinde home page, select the avatar menu at the bottom left
In the menu that opens, select Team members

`@src/content/docs/manage-your-account/business-information/update-your-details.mdx`:
- Around line 51-60: The phase headings are inconsistent: Phase 1 uses a
Markdown heading ("### 1. Add the new email address and promote the new email to
Owner") while Phase 2 uses bold text ("**2. Remove the old email address (If
applicable)**"); replace the bold Phase 2 line with an equivalent third-level
Markdown heading (e.g., "### 2. Remove the old email address (If applicable)")
so both phases use the same heading level and visual hierarchy, and ensure
numbering/parentheses remain identical to preserve meaning.
- Around line 67-70: Replace the final unordered bullet "* Once the role is
updated, click the three dots (`...`) again and select **Remove member**." with
a numbered step to continue the sequence (e.g., "6. Once the role is updated,
click the three dots (`...`) again and select **Remove member**.") so the
procedure remains sequential and scannable; ensure the formatting matches the
preceding numbered steps and preserves the inline code and bold markup.
- Around line 56-63: The navigation steps are inconsistent: step 4 uses the
avatar menu path while step 6 (and the "Remove the old email address" phase)
uses Settings → Team members → Members; update the "Remove the old email address
(If applicable)" steps to use the avatar menu path for consistency (e.g., "Sign
out, sign back in with the new email, then open the avatar menu at bottom left →
Team members → Members") or explicitly state both paths are valid; change the
text in the "Remove the old email address (If applicable)" section to match the
avatar-menu wording used earlier (refer to the "Team members" navigation in the
earlier steps and the "Remove the old email address" section header).

- Line 56: The sentence "On the Kinde home page, select the avatar menu at the
bottom left, in the menu that opens, select **Team members**." contains a comma
splice; fix it by splitting into two sentences (e.g., "On the Kinde home page,
select the avatar menu at the bottom left. In the menu that opens, select **Team
members**.") or by using a semicolon, and update the sentence in the file where
that exact string appears.

Updated instructions to emphasize changing the role before removal.
Reformatted steps for clarity and improved readability.
