The CMS Makers Working Group was created to address the Maker-Taker imbalance in open-source communities by enhancing contribution recognition, incentivization, resource sharing, and promoting sustainability, resilience, and interoperability across platforms.
Bringing together contributors from the WordPress and Drupal communities, this partnership draws on the strengths of each ecosystem and focuses on shared projects like Five for the Future and the Innovation Hub. Together, they aim to pool resources, share knowledge, and support a balanced contribution ecosystem.
The working group welcomes participation from other open source CMS communities aligned with the goals of the Open Website Alliance.
