…se UBI 10 Dockerfile UBI images can contain preinstalled packages that are not reinstallable from enabled repositories, which causes `dnf reinstall shadow-utils` to fail in Eclipse Che / OpenShift environments. Additionally, removing the final `dnf update` avoids pulling inconsistent package sets during container builds and improves reproducibility across local and cloud-based development environments. With changes in ed0b8bf, I'm able to build base developer image for ubi10. Earlier, the build was failing around dnf update and dnf reinstall shadow-utils, which can be problematic in cloud-based, unregistered UBI environments where some preinstalled packages are not available for reinstall. I've tested it locally, and it seems to be working there too. |

I don't fully understand, could you please explain a bit more why that is the case? Is it only a problem when building the udi-10 base image? |

@dkwon17 : You're right, I face this only when building base-developer-image with ubi10 (see #249 (comment)) . I was able to build successfully with other combinations but not this one. |
