This repository's purpose is to give students the experience of working with issues.

Repository Structure

This repository contains Quarto files with R code for visualizing the iris dataset. Each folder represents a teacher's course section for a specific semester:

  • Palmer_Spring2026/ - Contains iris_visualization.qmd
  • Cannon_Spring2026/ - Contains iris_analysis.qmd
  • Ball_Spring2026/ - Contains iris_plots.qmd

Purpose

The Quarto files in each folder contain intentional errors in the R code. The main purpose of this assignment however it to practice using issues, and less about debugging the code, so don't worry if the errors have all already been found. You can suggest other things in the issue, or simply repeat pointing out the error others may have already identified.

Students are expected to:

  1. Create GitHub issues to report the errors they find
  2. Label the issue according to who their instructor is
  3. Assign the issue to their instructor and to themselves
  4. The instructor or TA will respond to the issue with a comment, and probably close the issue
