## Rear Vertical Extrusion

## Assembly

### Install the Extrusion

#### Load the nuts

Hardware required:

| Type:
Ammount: | 2020, 510mm
2 | ![2020, 510mm](../../../assets/images/instructions/2020_extrusion.png) |
| Type:
Amount: | m5 T-nut
4 | ![m5 roll-in t-nut](../../../assets/images/instructions/m5_rollin_tnut.png)
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Roll two t-nuts into the top of the new 2020 extrusion.

Roll two more t-nuts into the bottom groove of the top rear extrusion of the printer. Space them around 30mm apart, centered on the span.

Optionally, dab some low-strength thread locker into the threads of the t-nuts. Be careful not to get it on your printed parts as it can degrade the plastic.

#### Attach the corner brackets

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5x8mm
2 | ![m5x10](../../../assets/images/instructions/m3x8.png) |
| Type:
Ammount: | 2020 Corner
2 | ![2020 corner bracket](../../../assets/images/instructions/2020_corner_bracket.png) |
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Thread the M5x8 bolts through the corner brackets and into the t-nuts in the top rear horizontal extrusion of the printer. Leave them loosly threaded so that they will be able to move in the next step.

#### Install the extrusion

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5x8mm
2 | ![m5x10](../../../assets/images/instructions/m3x8.png) |
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Position the new extrusion between the top and bottom rear horizontal extrusions of the printer, and with the top of the new extrusion between the corner bracket. Make sure the new extrusion's t-nuts are at the top.

Thread the two M5x8 bolts through the corner extrusion and into the new extrusion's t-nuts.

Tighten the bolts attaching the corner brackets to the new extrusion, making sure the brackets are flush to the front and back of the extrusion, or at least centered on its groove.

#### Position the extrusion

Use a tape measure or other measuring device to make sure both the top and the bottom of the new extrusion are centered. Once satisfied, tighten the bolts attaching the corner brackets to the rear top horizontal extrusion.

## Z-Axis Motor Mounts

## Assembly

### Center Rear Motor Mount

#### Load the t-nuts

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5 T-nut
4 | ![m5 roll-in t-nut](../../../assets/images/instructions/m5_rollin_tnut.png)
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Load two t-nuts into the left and right tracks of the center rear vertical extrusion.

Load two t-nuts into the top track of the bottom rear horizontal extrusion, placing one on each side of the vertical extrusion.

#### Position the t-nuts

Position the rear motor mount and adjust the t-nuts until they all line up at the same time with the holes in the motor mount.

Optionally dab some low-strength thread locker into the threads of the t-nuts. Be careful not to get it on your printed parts as it can degrade the plastic.

#### Bolting into position

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5x10mm
4 | ![m5x10mm](../../../assets/images/instructions/m5x10.png)
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Slide the motor mount into place and use the four M5x10mm bolts to thread through the motor mounts and into the t-nuts. Leave the bolts slighly lose so that the bottom of the extrusion can be positioned correctly.

#### Locking into place

Measure the bottom of the vertical extrusion to make sure it is centered side-to-side. Make sure the extrusion is also flush front and back with the bottom rear horizontal extrusion. Once positioned, tighten the M5x10mm bolts to lock the vertical extrusion into place.

### Front Left Motor Mount

#### Load the t-nuts

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5 T-nut
7 | ![m5 roll-in t-nut](../../../assets/images/instructions/m5_rollin_tnut.png)
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Load two t-nuts into the top outside track of the lower left extrusion.

Load one t-nut into the top track of the lower front extrusion.

Load two t-nuts into the outside backwards facing track of the front left vertical extrusion.

Load one t-nut into the right facing track of the front left vertical extrusion.

Optionally dab some low-strength thread locker into the threads of the t-nuts. Be careful not to get it on your printed parts as it can degrade the plastic.

#### Position the t-nuts

Hold the motor mount into position. Scoot the mount back a little bit and adjust the three t-nuts in the horizontal and vertical extrusions until they all look lined up.

Hold the motor mount into position. Scoot the mount to the right a little bit and adjust the four t-nuts in the horizontal and vertical extrusions until they all look lined up.

#### Bolting into position

Hardware required:

| Type:
Amount: | m5x10mm
7 | ![m5x10mm](../../../assets/images/instructions/m5x10.png)
{: class="hardwaretable"}

Position the mount into place and thread the seven M5x10mm bolts into the t-nuts. You may need to wiggle the position of the mount in order to get the bolts to line up. Leave the bolts a little loose until they are all installed. Once all are in place, hold the mount tightly against the extrusion and then tighten each of the M5 bolts.
