Bonuses are objects collectible by robots which disappear after a short time. It is worth to mention that not only the players can collect them, but also enemies are able to aid themselves during the game (only on highest difficulty, see the "Difficulty Tiers" page for more information).
There are six types of bonuses and each gives different effects. They are spawned when the player damages (or defeats) a special "glowing" enemy robot. The player receives 500 points for collecting a bonus.
The bonuses and their effects are detailed in the following table:
| Sprite | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
![]() |
Shield | Gives a robot temporary invincibility against enemy projectiles. It works the same way for both the players & enemies. |
![]() |
Freeze | Temporarily disables all robots of the other side. If collected by the player, it disables all enemies, both already on the map and every spawned. If collected by an enemy, it disables all the players present on the map. |
![]() |
Fortress | Affects surroundings of the nuke. If collected by the player, it surrounds the nuke with metal tiles which change themselves into brick tiles after a short time. If collected by an enemy, it destroys all tiles leaving the nuke vulnerable to attacks. |
![]() |
Rank | Affects robot statistics. If collected by the player, it promotes a robot upgrading its capabilities and firing power. If collected by an enemy, it transforms an enemy into the golden robot (the most powerful enemy type). |
![]() |
Destruction | Destroys all robots of the other side. If collected by the player, it destroys all enemies (does not give points for them though!). If collected by an enemy, it destroys all the players. |
![]() |
Life | Gives the player additional life (if collected by the player) or increases number of health points by one (if collected by an enemy). |
All bonus sprites have 16x16 pixels.
