VendorWatch | Y Combinator and MongoDB Hackathon (January 31st, 2026)

VendorWatch is a vendor risk monitoring system that tracks changes to what third-party vendors officially commit to in their terms, policies, pricing pages, and SLAs. It crawls vendor websites, extracts structured information like liability clauses, billing terms, data practices, and uptime guarantees, and stores versioned snapshots to detect meaningful changes over time. When those commitments change, VendorWatch generates categorized risk alerts and notifies teams so they can review potential legal, financial, or compliance exposure early.

Tech Stack

Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, MongoDB, Firecrawl API, Reducto API, Resend API, Claude API, Railway

Areas of Work & Exploration

  • Distributed microservice orchestration
  • FastAPI/Node.js backend APIs with Redis + PostgreSQL
  • Docker/Kubernetes-based container orchestration
  • ML pipelines: CNNs, PyTorch, attention modules
  • React/Next.js full-stack development
  • System reliability, latency analysis, caching strategies
