Compatibility of Airzone Zigbee modules with ZHA

Hello,

I saw on the Airzone website that Zigbee modules for various air conditioner brands are available. I would like to know if these modules are compatible with ZHA in Home Assistant.

A few questions:

• Do you have any information regarding the compatibility of these modules with ZHA?

• Do air conditioner models need to be added to ZHA to be recognized and function properly?

• Are there any known limitations or specific configurations required for integration with Home Assistant ?

It's a certified device (https://csa-iot.org/csa_product/airzones-aidoo-zigbee/) so it likely works out-of-the-box with ZHA

So we agree that there should be no implementation required on the zigpy side, since the device is certified and should be handled natively by ZHA, correct?

I also noticed that on the Zigbee2MQTT side, only one Airzone model currently shows up in the supported devices list: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/supported-devices/#v=Airzone

In summery; the devices will very likely connect but if it exposes all its features and functions depends on how its firmware is coded, (or more specifically which Zigbee clusters and attributes that the manufacturer developers have exposed in each device firmware), and if it a device does not expose all its features and functions then ZHA will probably need a device handler (quirk) so submit a feature request for that if you have bought a device and see such an issue after joining/connecting the device to ZHA.
