Windows: Java language server fails due to invalid path (os error 123)

• I confirmed that this is not an issue with the Eclipse JDT Language Server itself

What happened?

I installed the java development kit and then opened a java project and installed the extension. After that he said installing jdtls and then gave the following error:

Language server jdtls:

from extension "Java" version 6.8.3: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. (os error 123)

What did you expect to happen?

i expected to see jdtls installed and working by default

Environment

Zed: 0.217.3
Platform: Windows 11 Version 25H2
Java: OpenJDK v21.0.9

This is a known issue that is going to be resolved with v6.8.4

Thank you, can i ask how far it has been resolved because it looks like quite a large issue.

6.8.4 got merged less than 2 hours ago.

The issue started with a PR merged into main 5 days ago.
