History created from backpan could look better

After running git cpan import --backpan Some-Dist, I was disappointed to find that the commits were dated from the current date and not the release date, and that the author info was limited to unknown <unknown>.

I was also surprised that the version numbers used in the tags didn't simply reproduce whatever format the original author used.

I cannot leave that disappointment unanswered. A new version should pop up in the next couple of days, with proper history and stuff. :-)
