Zemax subscription model breaks DDE - fixed promised by Zemax

The current release of the new Zemax Subscription License breaks DDE. Zemax tech support has acknowledged this and promises a fix by the end of January 2020. FYI

Hi @JohnDGriffith, thank you for this info. Unfortunately, I do not think we can do something from our end. I just checked, and I am still able to use the DDE link. Could you please elaborate what you did and use?

I myself use Zemax 18.9 and did not update my Licence File Status (pressed 'no' in the popup) on the status.

Hi Lucy It has to be fixed by Zemax. They have acknowledged a DDE problem and have sent me a beta version to test. It only affects their new subscription model that does not use a USB dongle. I will check their beta version on Monday. I don't believe any action is required on the Pyzdde side. I put the issue in only as an FYI for other people whose code quit working.
