Before reporting your issue

  • I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
  • I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
  • I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro ExplorerPatcher versions

ExplorerPatcher 22621.1344.53.1
ExplorerPatcher 22621.3880.66.7
ExplorerPatcher 26100.4946.69.6

Repro Windows Versions

Windows 10 22H2 19045.4780 AMD64

3rd party tweak software installed

SCT
OpenShell
WinAero Tweaker
Individually installed registry tweaks

Describe the bug

  1. Relaunch (File) Explorer (I disable the desktop shell always)
  2. Install ExplorerPatcher 22621.1344.53.1 (after having a newer version, thinking stated builds tested on was prevalent for use)
  3. Kill Explorer
  4. Tick and untick SysListView32 option
  5. Open a folder from Run menu, as adminstrator
  6. Kill Explorer and open a folder using Run as regular (limited) user / RUNAS

Expected outcome

SysListView32 is used in the folder window and doesn't add padding (Limited)

Actual outcome

Padded file list is used in the folder window (Administrator)

Additional info

I just tried blocking permission to a prevalent CLSID used in a Windhawk mod made to address this, still didn't change anything in how I wanted to use this feature
