Is the project actively maintained?

I was trying to use RPi.GPIO2, and found that the current instructions do not work anymore.

There are failures to install the pip requirements, and some of the code uses old, already removed, flags and classes.

As I need to access GPIO pins on other operating systems than Raspberry Pi OS, and wish to use this project, my quest is if this project is still maintained, or does anyone knows of an alternative?

Hi,

I haven’t been able to spend much time on this project in a while so my maintenance has been limited to security updates however I plan to spend some time getting this project back in order very soon.
