Make modal feel more like a modal

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Modal:
Devon said it doesn't feel like a modal because:
- When I click anywhere on the navbar, I didn’t get back to games.
- When I am inside the game thread modal and click games on navbar I want it to go back to the games list
