Snapping to center area doesn't work when in PBP and overlapping displays #1635

Hey,
I am not sure if this is expected behavior or not but I am having an issue with snapping a window in between displays.

My setup:

  1. I am using ultrawide screen samsung odyssey neo g9 57 inches
  2. I am running PBP, so I technically have 2 displays but it's really one monitor, each display has same resolution, same refresh rate etc. This is pretty much a workaround since my Mac doesn't have HDMI 2.1, so I can get the full 7680x2160p resolution. I also turned off the option "Displays have separate spaces" so it acts pretty much as 1 display

The issue:

  1. I've set up a center area which overlaps to both displays
  2. Upon trying to snap the window in that area, I can see it's properly greyed out in the correct position
  3. However when letting go of the mouse and trying to snap, it just doesn't work. Mac just plays the beep sound and nothing happens.
  4. Below you can find the logs:
2025-08-26T11:58:46+02:00: Updating visible window info
2025-08-26T11:58:47+02:00: Nil calculation result

Snapping to areas defined clearly only in boundaries of one or the other display works normally. Only the overlapping areas don't work.

Any idea if this is a bug or expected behavior? If expected, is there any plan to support this in the future? It pretty much renders the whole app unusable for me since the main snapping area where I do most of the work is in the center and overlaps between both displays.

Thanks for looking into it!
