Summarise web requests #9
Description
It would be interesting to get some data on the requests made on a server over time.
Initially this should be for NGINX servers, only.
Priority metrics to collect:
- total number of queries
- top 5 most common paths
- top 5 requesting addresses
- number of googlebot visits
- number of googlebot visits to /feed
The difficulty is in making the new notification emails presentable. I'll make another issue with suggestions on refining that. Currently, they fit the columns of interest very nicely into portrait mode on my phone.
This issue is just to collect these metrics. Maybe they could be part of another email, or even aggregated on another schedule, either weekly or daily. Yes, collect daily stats, on the same schedule as the regular emails are sent.
