Description

When I have created a new user account, the email address has the state not verified. In the UI, this state (verified / not verified) is also nowhere to be seen and I can use the whole platform without any restrictions. What I would expect:

  • On signup, I am informed that a verification email has been sent to my emal address
  • I can access my own account in the settings, change details and delete it but not create new senseboxes and upload data.
  • In the Account tab, it is highlighted if my email address is verified or not (similar to the old settings menu).
  • I would also expect a Resend verification email that resends a verification email

Use case

The feature would make ensure that only users who actually have access to the email address the sign up with can use our platform.
