The line number does not match 32, what do you have on line 66 of CompressionMiddleware?
I would expect line 70 where the compression happens.

Do you have a way of knowing what is the request that result in this issue?
I suppose it’s a huge response being gzip encoded. Hard to say what is the source issue without knowing which request.

I don't know what is the request. I can only see this in the nextcloud logs window:

I'm experiencing the same Issue. I recently upgraded from 31.0.13 to 32.0.5 and ran into this problem twice. It doesn't happen every night but when it happens Nextcloud is not accessible in the morning, CPU usage is at 100% and I see log entries about execution time. The log entries where different each day, so I think this is an effect but not the cause.

I run nextcloud using docker and restarting the container fixed it. Next time this happens I can try to log into the container to check whats using the CPU before restarting. Anything specific I should look for?

May just be a coincidence, but I notice that both of you appear to be using LSIO's image. Not much else is known about @k-matti's deployment since still waiting on a response.
