That depends on your test case and what you are trying to do. This code was part of an assignment and it does what it is supposed to do. I don't know what benchmarks you will run on with this code in LLVM. It gives you the path profile of the innermost loops. We created custom test cases for testing it and it worked for all of the test cases.

So, you are the best judge about what kind of robustness you are expecting. I cannot assure you that it is the most reliable piece of code. Therefore, it is your call if you want to go ahead or not.
