Params fail to load if session restored

Hi, I’ve noticed something interesting. When I open a project directory in Nvim and use the lazy session restore option, the parameters from the quarto file aren’t loaded into the session when it’s run interactively. However, if I manually load the quarto document, this issue disappears. I’m not sure if this is a lazyvim-specific problem.

Thanks for reporting the issue. I no longer use lazy.nvim, and I have never used the restore feature. The rnvimserver starts to run when the first file of a supported type is loaded, and the R library nvimcom is loaded when R is started. Then nvimcom connects to rnvimserver through a TCP connection.

Could you try the branch "lsp"? I don't expect it to be any better for your problem than the current rnvimserver, but we plan to merge it onto the main branch, which means that it's not worthwhile to try to fix the bug on the main branch. The main difference is that rnvimserver runs as a language server. However, unlike other language servers, nvimrserver cannot be automatically started on the FileType event. It must be started after some version checks and after (if necessary) the cache files are written by an R instance that runs in the background, writes the cache files, and then quits.

Thanks, no worries I had only recently even noticed that the sessions function was available so it's no great loss. It works fine with R scripts and non-parameterized quarto reports.

I switched branch and upgraded the nvim version to the latest version on windows 11.

The nvimcom package re-loaded but would not initialize so I was not able to check whether the parameters were loaded.
