Version bumping required in go.mod and Dockerfile #84

@udf2457

Description

@udf2457
  1. Both go.mod and Dockerfile refer to Go 1.19:
  • As per Go Release Policy support is only available for current and two prior. Therefore 1.19 is very much EOL (we are, at the time of writing at 1.24, so two prior is 1.22 .... 1.19 < 1.22).
  • Keeping Go version up to date is not just cosmetic. You benefit from security updates, functionality updates etc.
  1. Your Dockerfile uses Debian Buster both as builder and runner. As per Debian Release Policy Buster is now out of LTS (as of 2024-06-30), and only commercial ELTS support is available. Therefore please bump up to the current version (Bookworm as of the time of writing).

  2. I have not checked version numbers of your Go dependencies, but perhaps a go get -u ./... && go mod tidy would be in order ?

Thank you.
