[BUG]System freeze during import

Describe the bug
When I import a translation file with the Easy Translator tool our entire system seems to slow to a crawl while the import gets processed. Model-driven apps just spin. Api calls timeout. Portal users get no response. Even with an import file that has only one tab (OptionSets) with 10 rows. This makes it impossible to use the tool since all users and interfaces freeze up.

To Reproduce
Import a file of any size

Expected behavior
Import should run without severely impacting system-wide performance.
