Exiting sometimes locks screen

Occasionally when trying to close app screen locks and prevents from exiting or switching to other windows. Closing can only be done by Windows+D to bring up windows taskbar, right clicking on app icon and closing from there. I think it may be something to do with how tkinter handles closing. Will try to figure out conditions to replicate.
