Rcon connection timeout/early eof

I'm currently unable to consistently reproduce this bug. I'm also not sure what causes it. I've seen it happen when launching the game or when in a match, so your guess is as good as mine.

Now getting this error after the recent 0.2.0 update:

Early EOF can occur if the anticheat is started as the game is starting. As long as you're seeing players in your game inside the UI you're good to go.

Apologies for not giving more details in the original comment, (not sure why I didn't) I am not seeing players in the UI.

When updating, I replaced the backend .exe and UI files and changed the port to 1984 inside the UI.

Edit: I am also getting the error even when starting the anticheat while the game has already been running for a good while, not just when starting

The default RCON port for tf2 is 27015, and should be left as that unless you need to change the RCON port for TF2 as well (which I assume you haven't done. 1984 is only used for the web UI.

I only changed it in the web UI settings, and not the launch options or anywhere else. (I'll try changing the web UI port to 27015)

Edit: Changing the port in the web UI to 27015 seems to have fixed the issue, I am not sure that I understand but I am glad that this worked.

The RCON port setting in the web UI is for specifying which port the client should use for communicating with TF2.
