Description
Both band_crm and stoch_crm functions expect nocturnal flight activity values to be expressed as a proportion of daytime activity levels. Only values between 0 and 1 are accepted, where 1 equals even flight day and night. However, some seabirds fly more at night than during daytime (Bonnet-Lebrun et al. 2021), and the ability to run CRMs accounting for this information would improve accuracy. The request is therefore, to permit nocturnal flight activity values > 1 in stochLAB. It is noted that this can already be achieved for the deteministic model by using the Band CRM spreadsheet (2012) and forcing the Nocturnal Activity Factor parameter above 5.
