Connection timeout due to removal of ingress gateway config #24
Description
Issue seen in prod where HTTPS connectivity to the cluster was lost. This was as a result of the configuration for the ingress gateway (allowing connection on Port 443) being removed.
It looks like the issue started around 21:50 on 24/04/20, based on health probe logs from the internal and public facing load balancers.
The cause is unclear, but was resolved by running the following to re-apply:
kustomize build overlays-2/prod | k apply -f -
Upgrading to Istio 1.5.2 may resolve this issue.
